Division C: The Division To Watch

Division C: The Division To Watch

Chez Pascal (1) v Oberlin (8)
birch (2) v Mike’s Kitchen (7)
Persimmon (3) v La Masseria (6)
Eli’s Kitchen (4) v River Falls (5)

Division III has quite a range of restaurant experiences, from the very fancy (birch, recently nominated for a James Beard Award) to homestyle Italian (Mike’s Kitchen) and a place in Woonsocket known for its Sunday chicken dinners (River Falls). Also up: representatives from Warren (Eli’s, not to be confused with the Eli’s on Block Island) and East Greenwich (La Masseria, I think the only restaurant in the competition with a second location in Times Square) as well as two east side favorites (Chez Pascal and Persimmon, the latter of which missed last year’s competition because they were in the throes of moving from their original Bristol location). Oh, and there’s also Oberlin, last year’s champion.
