Newport’s resident ballet company opens its 35th season of dance with A Collection of Attitudes, a weekend of repertoire at Rosecliff, one of the toniest Newport mansions. The program features two new works from choreographers Rodney Rivera (artistic director of Puerto Rico’s Ballet Brio) and Danielle Genest, a former Island Moving Company dancer. The company will also perform “Psalms,” a piece commissioned way back in 1983 for the company’s inaugural season. The program is rounded out with pieced from Spencer Gavin Hering and company artistic director Miki Ohlsen.
