Beach Slang

It’s been a crazy year for Beach Slang, Philadelphia’s widely buzzed-about band of Replacements devotees. Debut album The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us premiered to much critical hullabaloo last fall, but a few months later the band broke up on stage in a guitar-smashing finale. They patched up whatever was broken, but earlier this week their drummer quit. Seemingly undaunted, the band soldiers on with a stop at Fête, before heading to New York on Tuesday for a front-to-back performance of the Replacements’ Pleased To Meet Me album.
