Mary Cappello is keeping busy this month, hot on the heels of her just-released book Life Breaks In: A Mood Almanack. She’s appearing at an experimental writing/music event at URI, an “illustrated reading” at Brown’s medical school, the Publicly Complex series at Ada Books, and this discussion at Providence Public Library about writers hopping around between various genres, occasionally blurring boundaries. The panel also includes MT Anderson, a National Book Award nominee whose dystopian teen novel Feed is a brutal takedown of Facebook (written several years before Facebook ever existed), as well as Dawn Paul, author of depression-era military drama The Country of Loneliness.
