I find myself doubting the sincerity of Bong Wish, a poppy psych-folk project from Boston’s Mariam Saleh. She might be wearing a tunic and petting a horse on the cover of her self-titled EP, but the songs are too brief, too cleanly produced, to feel like the first wave of trippy British troubadours. And that’s fine. The project is called Bong Wish, after all, and the songs contain couplets like “My love sits on countertops / My love doesn’t ask for much.” She plays with New Haven band Headroom (who sound very promising) and locals Germ House.
There’s no price posted anywhere so I’m just guessing that it’s $7.
