Surfboards and a big blue wave sculpture lend a summer vibe to Buoyancy, the latest group show presented by World’s Fair Gallery at 233 Westminster Street. (It’s that untitled space that I will forever refer to as “the old Clover.”) I really like Tayo Heuser’s wall of flocked acrylics, organic-looking wall-mounted plastic pieces whose transparency becomes more evident when you look closely. I also liked Gregory Stevens’ surfboard, translucent with retro blues and yellows that fall somewhere between Solo Jazz and Conair see-through phone. On a less festive note, Dan Wood’s droll daily linotypes comment on our current political nightmare.
