I’m really enjoying “Warm Shadows,” the slow-burning new single from DC band Cigarette, who sound sort of like a mix between the Clientele and Julee Cruise’s backing band from the roadhouse on Twin Peaks. They’re playing at Lang’s Bowlarama, which makes me very happy, along with fellow Washingtonians Puff Pieces, who are considerably more jittery than their tourmates. Also on the bill are electronically inclined locals Creamer and La Neve. La Neve is a keyboard-heavy solo “dance/drag/idk” project, while the somewhat enigmatic Creamer does mostly minute-long R&B songs, judging by their Soundcloud page.
