Founded in 2009, Bristol’s Community String Project is an intriguing organization that offers lessons to novice musicians from third grade into adulthood. Their mission is to provide financially accessible classes in violin, viola, cello and bass, and they hope to add around a dozen new students each year (iof all income levels). Directed by Nathan Rodriquez, the Chamber Ensemble is essentially the cream to the project’s crop, and they’ll be performing a free concert of works by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Vivaldi and others.
