Novelist Corentin Corre lives in Rhode Island, although his work is published exclusively in French by Les éditions Chum. Corre released two novels this year. La petite Zoé deals with the relationship between Zoé, an Eritrean refugee, and Vlad, the night watchman who came to the United States after surviving the bloody breakup of Yugoslavia. The just-published thriller Thanksgiving is set in a New Hampshire inn whose inhabitants await the verdict in murder trial. Alliance Française de Providence is co-organizing the event, although I’m reasonably certain that the event is also fine for those who don’t speak French.
