Out Loud Theatre is one of the scrappier companies in town, and their shows are appropriately hit or miss. (I loved their Rhinoceros but the more recent Dracula was an endlessly long nightmare, and not the fun kind.) They wrap up their fourth season with an all-female and genderqueer Coriolanus, marking at least the third gender-swapped Shakespeare tragedy to hit Providence in the last year alone. Dorry nominee Tammy Brown plays the title character, and promo materials promise a Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic approach to the grim military tragedy. Tickets are free, a reflection of the show’s non-existent budget. Reserve seats early, though, because they tend to go quickly.
