There are fussy line drawings and then there are the agonizingly intricate multi-panel prints of Yizhak Elyashiv. Points interconnect via dozens if not hundreds of ambiguous dotted lines, and the level of detail suggests the painstaking work of a mad scientist, albeit one who doesn’t label his diagrams. Elyashiv’s untitled pieces are paired with the chemically produced mixed media work of Deborah Barlow, whose shiny paint pieces resemble a cross between purplish-gray NASA photographs and microscopic bacteria slides.
