Pick an off time to visit the RISD Museum for the new virtual reality exhibit presented by the Digital Museum of Digital Art. There are only two headsets to go around, and there’s a little bit of a learning curve as viewers are given few instructions. You’ve got to take a giant leap and run towards a temple in order to stare at some crystals before unlocking access to the four pieces on display. I didn’t really understand Rosa Menkman’s DCT Syphoning The 64th Interval, though it looked cool. I preferred Brenna Murphy’s initially dizzying, ultimately rather calming Vectoral~Sentience_Stack, which was sort of like being inside a very slow-moving Rubik’s Cube. There was a line of people waiting, so I passed on the other two, though the guy next to me definitely got a kick out of the Body Worlds journey of Theoklitos Triantafyllidis.
