From Refugee Camp To Project is an autobiographical look at a young Cambodian man born in a Thai refugee camp, and a rough upbringing in the United States, where poverty and gang culture particularly affect young Cambodian American (“Khmerican”) men. Ros has been with Everett since 1998, now serving as director of the company’s hip-hop dance program, and his multimedia show incorporates popping and krumping along with traditional Khmer dance, spoken word and video.
