Festival Ballet Providence presents Game Changers, new and innovative works by a trio of choreographers. The oldest piece is Morphoses, an athletic 2002 dance from Christopher Wheeldon. Festival regulars will recognize the work of choreographer Yury Yanowsky, whose Smoke & Mirrors was performed by the company last year. His new dance Same is a large ensemble piece based on the music of Boston singer/songwriter/violinist Josh Knowles, who will perform live at each show. Christopher Huggins is a former Alvin Ailey Dance Theater dancer whose work incorporates over two dozen dancers. This world premiere marks the first time his work has ever been performed in New England.
