Thanksgiving night is generally a dead zone for non-movie entertainment, but Athens, Georgia trio Gláss are on tour anyway, so why not. Scottish transplant Aaron Burke’s vocals repeatedly reference the cold, and the music is equally chilly. The band’s Accent album is a moody post-punk affair whose frenetic energy could be attributed to the fact that the eleven tracks were mostly recorded live in just two days. They’re playing at Pawtucket’s News Café, a venue that I confess wasn’t really on my radar before now, along with locals COROT and Pondering.
