Pulitzer Prize winning poet Gregory Pardlo is the latest writer to appear in Brown’s Writers on Writing series. There’s a whole class in the school’s Literary Arts department where students read contemporary writing and then the writer actually comes to the McCormack Family Theater to give a reading and talk about their writing process. The readings are all free and open to the public and it’s one of the better literary events in town, though it’s sort of buried in plain sight for people who aren’t affiliated with Brown. Pardlo won the Pulitzer for his book Digest; his highly anticipated memoir Air Traffic is forthcoming.
