I was planning to tell you about Maggie Jackson’s talk at the Tiverton Public Library, entitled “Lost in the Instant: Recouping Focus and Reflection in a Tech-Driven Age.” Jackson wrote a whole book about dwindling attention spans in the information age, but the event seems to have vanished from the library’s website and, since they’re closed to the weekend, I can’t verify whether the talk was actually canceled or not. Whoops! Instead, why not take advantage of what is probably your final chance to see the Coen Brothers’ latest on a big screen.
