Seventeen RISD MFA candidates are featured in I Don’t Feel at Home in the World Anymore, which curator Jessina Leonard says “addresses collective anxiety in a moment fraught with increasing instability, when our very future as a planet looms uncertain and when our lives are valued in proportion to their productivity.” Far from being gloomy, though, the show highlights an intriguing array of works in various media, from the abstract paintings of Madeline Peckenpaugh to Steven KP’s sci-fi looking jewelry [pictured] made from graphite, slate, and tiny scrolls. Other highlights include Tongji Philip Qian’s labor-intensive triptych of charcoal drawings and Kara Cox’s fiery obituary to Miami.
