Four glass artists have united under the themes of nature and architecture at the Wheeler School’s Chazan Gallery. I’m not sure how well it works, but individual pieces are quite nice. Colby Charpentier’s metallic glazed stone pieces [pictured] are the most immediately alluring – shiny elevated pod-shaped bowls and vases with crazily angled bases. Roby Dorchester’s work is a little all over the place (in a good way) when it comes to style, from fuzzy-looking fused glass circles to laser cut paper drawings. Thematically, Adam Waimon’s most on point with his more overtly naturalist pieces, like an oversized pink glass maple seed helicopter.
