I haven’t been over to Yellow Peril yet for James Weingrod’s solo show, up now through August 4. Here’s what I know from the press release: the exhibition is about trees, “both singularly and collectively containing the entire universe within their walls, such that they can constitute a structural and visual model of a universe rich with mystery, beauty and interconnectivity.” Put more succinctly, I think it’s a show about how trees might be the key to the mysteries of the universe? This is what they call a living exhibition, with Weingrod morphing the look of the show over the course of its two-month run.
