Named for a rambling beach house in a fictional Rhode Island town, Eden is the debut novel by part-time Westerly resident Jeanne McWilliams Blasberg. Set in the year 2000, the book revolves around Becca Meister Fitzpatrick, the suddenly broke matriarch of three – soon to be four – generations of family. Everything spills out at a family reunion, where there’s lots of drama and the unveiling of long-buried secrets. Kirkus calls the book “an engrossing, character-driven family saga,” while someone called The Loud Library Lady says it’s astounding. Blasberg will be discussing and signing copies of the novel.
