Sculptor Jeff “Fish” Wells used to build submarines by day, but at night he used his metal skills to construct a dinosaur park in his backyard in Uncasville, Connecticut. At the time Uncasville was the middle of nowhere – this was years before the Mohegan Sun casino opened – but he’s still at it, allowing visitors to stop by his property and check out the dinos. He doesn’t even charge admission. The dinosaurs don’t normally move, but they’ve crossed into Rhode Island for an unusual showing at Tiverton’s Van Vessem Gallery.
