Keri King

Kerin King at Providence Public Library

Illustrator Keri King is celebrating the launch of her first artist book, a Victorian-inspired “visual storybook for grownups.” Spectacles & Spectators follows “a cast of fashionably dressed animals through a madcap tale of art and crime in high society.” You may be familiar with King’s style if you were around a decade or so ago for the Danger! Danger! Birds burlesque troupe, or more recently if you caught her black-and-white animals wheatpasted around downtown for PVDFest. King is also Providence Public Library’s 2017 Creative Fellow, so you may be seeing here there a lot.
