The words “electronic pop” are used in every story about Vancouver musician Lief Hall, though her low-energy, mournful songs are maybe more pop-adjacent than radio friendly, particularly because most of them fall in the six to seven minute range. “Roses For Ruins” is the title track to her most recent album, and the hazy accompanying video was shot in Alberta last summer during the big wildfires there. Locals Val Martino and House Red round out the all-female, all-solo, all-electronic lineup.
