I find it really hard to even see the name Chloe Sevigny without rushing back to my computer to rewatch some (if not most) of Drew Droege’s Chloe videos. Each 90-second episode features Chloe Sevigny (played by Droege) explaining some mispronounced concept that has recently come to her attention, like Easter, or toast. Anyway, Sevigny and Kate Beckinsale star in Love and Friendship, a prickly period comedy based on one of Jane Austen’s minor works. It’s set in a different century, but it reminds me of one of my favorite marriage driven period comedies, 1996’s Cold Comfort Farm (also starring Beckinsale and Stephen Fry). Love & Friendship is playing at Showcase Cinemas Warwick and North Attleboro.
