There’s some literary buzz surrounding We Are Unprepared, the just-released debut novel by Boston novelist Meg Little Reilly. It’s part of a growing wave of climate-related fiction (cli-fi), and deals with a couple of Brooklyn thirtysomethings who escape the city for a life in rustic northern Vermont. Things begin to crack once the paranoid town starts prepping for an oncoming superstorm, a cataclysmic event which has unforeseen effects on the couple’s iffy relationship. Quick heads up about the reading, though: events at An Unlikely Story are free but for some reason require advance registration.
