I’m excited for Bunny, the follow-up to Canadian novelist Mona Awad’s 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl. Marketed as “The Vegetarian meets Heathers,” the novel is about a quartet of cliquish women in a New England MFA program. (The author got her MFA at Brown, of course, and taught in the Literary Arts program for a while.) Publishers Weekly calls it “enchanting and stunningly bizarre,” while Kirkus declares it “near-perfect…and definitely not for everyone.” This release day event will involve a conversation between Awad and local author Lucas Mann (Captive Audience).
