It’s gutsy to kick off a monthly literary series on the Ides of March, but the long-awaited Point Street Reading Series finally debuts this week with five writers sharing a stage at the city’s only dueling piano bar. Local radio personality Robin Kall created the monthly event, which she hopes will follow in the footsteps of New York’s many long-running reading series. The kickoff features novelists Caroline Leavitt (Is This Tomorrow), Rachel Cantor (Good On Paper), Tamara Valentine (What The Waves Know), and Holly LeCraw (The Half Brother), plus memoirist Howard Axelrod (The Point of Vanishing).
