NEVER MIND! This one got postponed because of snow.
A few months back I was asked to participate in an audio exhibit about the history of the future, where people around my age (34) would imagine the Providence of 2050, when they’re twice as old as they are today. “Everyone’s visions of the future have been really optimistic so far,” Rhode Island Collection librarian Kate Wells told me ominously when I arrived to record my interview. Then I pretty much described a dystopian nightmare! (It was a rough week.) The audio recordings are live now, and there’s a launch event tonight featuring a discussion with participants Aarin Clemons, Morgan Grefe, Adrienne Gagnon and Andy Posner. Space is limited to RSVPs are requested.
