The Providence Movement Festival is a three-day event featuring 19 choreographers and dance companies from around the region. There’s one program on Thursday, two on Friday, and then all three repeat on Saturday. The 6pm program, running about 90 minutes, features Angela Cole, Amorphous Dance, Caitlyn Schrader, Danielle & Orlando, Nikki Lee and Lucille Jun, and kamrDANCE. The 8pm program features Contemporary Dance Ensemble, Denizen Arts, Freedom Dances, Cayley Dorr and Elizabeth Powers, The Picnic Sisters, and TAPA Dance Company. Some of these names are more familiar to me than others so if three hours of contemporary dance is too much then you might just want to pick whichever one is most convenient. Tickets are $15 for each program. So, $30 if you want to do a double-header.
