The Providence Comics Consortium celebrates the release of their third Providence (Sunday) Wipeout anthology, a large 11″ X 14″ collection of locally drawn comics. Done in a range of styles, the anthology showcases nearly a dozen artists in total over the course of twenty pages (plus a few inserts). There’s a high creep factor to this one – the president rendered as a They Live-type skeleton is one thing, but there’s also evil limes, a sentient drop of blood, and an homage to unexpected homage to Billy Ocean. The creepiest part, though, is probably the dentist who uses live shrimp to clean teeth. That’s just terrifying.
