The second annual PVDFest (and first that’s actually called PVDFest) is scaled back somewhat from last year, but your best option is to just make your way to Washington Street and wander around until you find something you like. (But here’s a cheat sheet, anyway.) Events are taking place in other parts of the city, too: GRIN is hosting the loony Geographically Indeterminate Fantasies group show of GIF art, curated by ArtFCity and co-produced with Providence College (of all places). The opening reception includes a one-night only outdoor installation which may be worth leaving downtown for, maybe. Over on North Main Street, Everett is running its Freedom Project performance at the Roger Williams National Memorial.
