Here’s an odd thing: Puerto Rican reggaeton superstar Ozuna is absurdly popular. (Even English-only pop fans have surely heard “Taki Taki” by now.) Seven Ozuna videos have passed 1 BILLION views on Youtube, and he spent THIRTY consecutive weeks atop Billboard’s Latin Albums chart last year. He also made a movie! And, somehow, nobody seems to think that’s worth mentioning. As in, no one seems to have reviewed it at all. The Dominican comedy is a PG-13 romance between about a humble man, his wildly wealthy girlfriend, and the meddling parents that try to split them up. It barely got a domestic release and is playing at fewer than two dozen theaters nationally, though it’s at Providence Place for a surprising fourth week.
