The second annual Queer/Trans Zinefest (QTZ) proves that books matter, showcasing the creations of almost forty queer, trans, and gender non-conforming artists. Zines – often small and self published books – are a great way to share complex thought, and so is conversation. Expect both at this year’s fair, where you have the opportunity to meet a mix of both local & visiting artists as they sit behind their work. In addition to printed matter, artists will also have clothing & affordable artwork for sale. Biographies of the artists are online, so you can find about the process behind the zines.
(The QTZ takes place on the first floor of AS220 in the Black Box (95 Empire Street) and the Main Stage (115 Empire Street)
