The Rhode Island Electronic Music Conference returns for a second year. It’s not really a conference, in the sense that there’s no snoozy panel discussions or techie people geeking out over equipment. Instead, it’s three shows in three nights in three different venues, which is a rare thing in these parts if you’re a fan of electronic music that isn’t super abrasive or academic. (And even then…) Thursday it’s synth rock with Triangle Forest and Boston’s Radclyffe Hall at Alchemy; Friday is poppier with Bellerophon and Northampton’s Home Body [pictured] at Aurora; and Saturday’s a hip-hop/trap party with Loppside and Lunchbagg at Pawtucket’s News Cafe. Tickets are cheap – the most expensive lineup is only $9 – but two-day and three-day passes are available. Click here for the full lineup.
