Snow postponed the opening of the annual RISCA fellowship exhibition at URI, but the annual Writers Night is a chance to hear six authors while also checking out the two dozen or so visual artists whose work is currently in the space. This year’s readers include fiction awardees Mary-Kim Arnold and Michael Stewart, poets Amy Pickworth and Sarah Satterlee, and playwrights Rose Weaver and Vatic Kuumba. Most of these people work between genres, so this event could go in any number of directions. By the way, if you’re a writer the deadline to apply for next year’s fellowship is April 2. The application process is surprisingly easy, considering it’s a government-sponsored award with a cash prize.
