The photographer who takes serene photos of relatives looking away from the camera. The video artist obsessed with United States military aggressions. The ceramicist hovering uncomfortably over their own work. Landscape architects who have written about projects that you’ll never quite understand. An endlessly long line for the wine. It’s time for the annual RISD Thesis Exhibition! Work from 235 students will be displayed in the Convention Center, and a couple will be memorable enough that you’ll still remember them a year from now. (Last year’s winners: the bottled water video installation, the paintings of mod fireplaces, the big stuffed animal with the VR camera mounted to its back.)
