In the past month alone I’ve seen The Fantasticks, West Side Story, and Harold and Maude on stage. Now Rhode Island’s unofficial Summer of Lovers continues with a really unique traveling production of Romeo and Juliet, organized by Trinity Rep and Rhode Island Latino Arts. Adapted by Saúl Ramos, this version is fully bilingual (Spanish-English) and performed for free throughout the city, at venues including Waterfire and the Roger Williams Temple to Music. The Monday and Tuesday shows are taking place in libraries – Monday at Rochambeau (on Hope Street) and Tuesday at South Providence.
