Back in 1978, Richard Donner’s blockbuster Superman was the most expensive movie ever made. (It held that title until Rambo III came along in 1988.) A critical and commercial success, it was written by a team that included Godfather author Mario Puzo and the two guys that wrote Bonnie and Clyde. The large cast included Christopher Reeve and Marlon Brando, but also the great Susannah York (as Superman’s mother) and thinking man’s sex symbol Valerie Perrine (as Lex Author’s girlfriend). The Bucket Brewery has a 108-inch screen (and also beer) and screens movies every Thursday.
