Chilean-born Mauricio Ossa left his home country years before its capital became a mecca for poppy disco, but the more flagrantly cheeseball aspects of his Dorry-winning Bellerophon project genuinely recall some of my favorite Chilean pop stars – people like Alex Anwandter, the recently disco-driven Dënver, and perfect human Javiera Mena. (I can’t even fathom a song better than this one.) Anyway, back to Pawtucket… Bellerophon plays with Favourite, another local electronic pop joy, and Straw Man Standing, who’s local but new to me. Timelapzzz is up from Philadelphia, and fellow Dorry winners The Music Please will be DJing to keep things lively. You know, once you leave the Library Mini Golf party.
