I love a good nun movie, and people are raving about The Little Hours, the bawdy sex comedy based on one segment of Boccaccio’s Decameron. With 21st century dialogue (and a lot of swearing, at least in the trailer) the story follows three nuns (Aubrey Plaza, Alison Brie, and Kate Micucci) who are thrown in a hormonal tizzy when a virile man (Brie’s IRL husband Dave Franco) appears on the scene. I went to see it on Friday but the screening was canceled due to technical difficulties (?!?!), so instead I drove down the street and caught the aftermath of an old lady accidentally accelerating into a restaurant. No one was hurt, thankfully.
