The Realistic Joneses

Greenville Library, Rhode Island

Set in “one of these little towns near the mountains,” The Realistic Joneses is a tragedy disguised as a sitcom about two neighboring couples who share more than a common last name. The play marked the Broadway debut of playwright Will Eno [Middletown; Thom Pain (based on nothing)], and it marks a tonal shift for the rural Swamp Meadow Community Theatre, who are staging a “minimalist, nearly tech-free” production in a public library. This one runs for one weekend only and seating is very limited.
