Poets Tommy Pico and Joe Osmundson both have new books out. Pico’s Junk, released just last week, is a book-length poem that’s literally about junk: junk food and men’s junk and being treated like junk as a member of the Kumeyaay nation. Osmundson’s poetry memoir Inside/Out, released back in January, documents the fall of an emotionally abusive relationship. Together, they’re half of a podcast called Food 4 Thot and they’re currently on tour, stopping in Providence for a special Sunday edition of the Publicly Complex reading series. They’ll be joined by Charlotte Abotsi, poet and co-director of the Providence Poetry Slam.
