Reggae outfit The Wailers come to the Dorry-nominated Knick in Westerly for an evening of classic material punctuated by some newer material. They’re mostly known for their work in the 1970s, when their name was prefaced with “Bob Marley and”, but the group’s most recent incarnation is headed by original bassist Aston “Familyman” Barrett. Living up to his nickname, he’s introduced various other members of his clan into the fold – drummer Aston Barrett Jr. and lead vocalist Josh David Barrett, who has the onerous task of performing Bob Marley songs in a Bob Marley style while backed by Bob Marley’s actual band. Soul Shot open.
