If you’re looking for an alternative to the Puppy Bowl, head to Brown for four new works by MFA candidates in the university’s Theatre Arts and Performance Studies department. Maurice DeCaul (11am) and Beth Nixon (2pm) are presenting readings of their new pieces, while Diane Exavier (5pm) and Carlos Sirah (8pm) will present workshop performances of their work in development. Decaul’s play is about a female warlord in Afghanistan and the other three have descriptions that don’t make any literal sense. Surprise yourself!
